Good scientific practice
The Regulations on Ensuring Good Scientific Practice were adopted by the Senate of HTWK Leipzig on 25 September 2024. They set out the standards to be applied at HTWK Leipzig regarding good scientific practice, the ombudsman scheme and the handling of scientific misconduct. In doing so, it draws heavily on the recommendations, wording and explanations contained in the German Research Foundation’s (DFG) ‘Guidelines for Ensuring Good Scientific Practice’ (as amended in August 2019), as well as the ‘Model Statutes for Ensuring Good Scientific Practice and for Dealing with Suspected Cases of Scientific Misconduct’ issued by the German Rectors’ Conference in 2022, and implements these in a legally binding manner for all persons engaged in scientific or science-supporting activities within the HTWK Leipzig.
